Torrential Rainfall Causing Flooding in Parts of Springfield

With severe thunderstorms working its way through the Ozarks Friday night, many drivers are left battling the dangers of flooded roads.

A flash flood warning has been put into effect for southeastern Greene County until 1:30 a.m. the morning of July 8.

The latest reports indicate more than five inches of rain in two hours near the Pat Jones YMCA off Republic Road in Springfield earlier tonight.

Numerous reports of flooding were called in regarding flooding on and along intersections of East Battlefield, including Luster Avenue and Barnes Street.
