After choosing a Troy Smith as their new Mayor on Tuesday, Willard residents are now deciding whether or not to audit the city.
Some in Willard are circulating a petition calling for an audit after former Alderman Corey Hendrickson pleaded guilty to embezzling money from his employer, Prime Trucking.
Former Alderman Larry Whitman says the situation has nothing to do with the city, so no Audit is necessary.
Angie Wilson, the leader of the petition drive, says an audit is the only way to restore the publics trust.
A state audit would cost the city about $100,000 in taxpayer money.
