Woman Charged In Stabbing In Texas County

A woman has been charged with stabbing a man at a house near Houston, Missouri.

The Texas County Sheriff’s Office says a man told Texas County Deputies that his brother was stabbed in the back by 35-year-old Heather Shelton of Kearney at a house on Highway 17.

Deputies went to the house and found Shelton covered in blood. She became combative before they arrested her.

The victim was airlifted from Texas County Memorial to a Springfield hospital.

Shelton has been charged with first-degree assault, armed criminal action and tampering with evidence.
