Woman from Springfield Sentenced for Threatening Marijuana Dispensary at Knifepoint

A woman from Springfield is being officially sentenced after pleading guilty to charges related to threatening employees at weed shop with a knife.

Investigators say Krystal Forsman, 37, entered the Bloom Springfield Medical and Recreational Marijuana Dispensary on March 29 with a knife.

Witnesses say she was shouting, “you’re all my hostages now.”

A patron at the businesses was able to disarm Forsman and subdue her until police arrived.

Authorities say she was possibly under the influence of a controlled substance at the time of the crime.

Forsman pleaded guilty earlier this month to unlawful use of a weapon. She was sentenced to five years probation and four year in prison, but the prison sentence was suspended.
