Woman Shot in Springfield During Domestic Dispute, Search Underway for Suspect

9mm pistol bullets and handgun.

One woman is in the hospital after being shot during what authorities have described as a “domestic dispute”.

Springfield Police say the woman and a male suspect got into an argument along Pickwick Avenue, near Delaware Elementary School, Sunday morning.

After being shot, the victim drove to a home on South Prince Lane, between Bennett Street and Catalpa.

Officers were called to the scene there, where the woman was transported to an area hospital. Reports say she has non-life-threatening injuries.

SPD says they have the identity of a suspect, but no arrests have been made at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.
