A woman from Springfield is recovering in the hospital after she was stabbed by her uncle.
Springfield Police were called to the scene Monday morning at a home on Walnut Street near Kansas Expressway for a reported domestic dispute.
When officers arrived, they found the woman suffering from a knife wound.
She was rushed to an area hospital, where her injuries are described as non-life threatening.
The suspect fled the scene and is still on the run at this time. A description has not been released.
