Zimmer-Springfield Hosts 11th CEO Roundtable

From discussions on the state of our local and regional economy in 2024, to hiring and retaining quality employees, CEO’s from the restaurant, entertainment, events, banking, floral and legal services industries gathered Thursday for Zimmer Midwest Communications’ 11th CEO Roundtable in Springfield.

The event was held at the KWTO studios on east Chestnut Expressway in Springfield.

A number of our panelists expressed optimism about our local economy, but also uncertainty among local businesses on what the Federal Reserve will do with interest rates.

CEO’s also shared the value of Springfield and Branson as a tourist destination and why this area tends to be more resistant to some of the economic pressures affecting other parts of the state and our country.

Our CEO’s also discussed how to attract and retain quality employees, and how, if any, their hiring and management strategy is adapted to cater to the preferences and values of Generation Z.

Thanks again to these CEO Roundtable panelists for being a part of our lunch discussion Thursday:

Paul Sundy—Big Whiskey’s

Mark Steiner—Gig Salad

Brian Cheever—Clear Creek Golf Car and Utility Vehicles

Michelle Billiones—The Coffee Ethic

Aaron Owen—Ozark Empire Fairgrounds

David Payne—Ozarks Legacy Law

Theresa Suda—RosAmungThorns Flowers and Gifts

Christian Lewis—Simmons Bank

Our next CEO Roundtable will take place in May, 2024.
