A man from Springfield has been charged with multiple crimes in connection with an armed robbery over the weekend.
Police were called during the early morning hours of June 4 for a reported armed robbery near the Martha’s Vineyard parking lot on West Olive Street.
A foot chase with police ended with the arrest of 18-year-old Kody Moore. According to the victims, Moore robbed them at gunpoint and stole two cellphones and $6 in cash.
Moore has been charged with two counts of first-degree robbery, two counts of armed criminal action and one count of first-degree sexual assault.
The victims claimed Moore had touched them inappropriately, which Moore later admitted saying he was checking for other valuables they may have been hiding.
The 18-year-old Moore is being held in the Greene County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
