One Dead, Others Missing at Stockton Lake

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is searching for a group of people who have gone missing at Stockton Lake.

Troopers say a kayak was found in the water near Crabtree Cove just after noon Wednesday with a woman inside who had drowned.

Sgt. Mike McClure of the MSHP also reported that another group, at least two people, were reported missing this afternoon as well.

The investigation and search is still ongoing, so certain details about the incident have not been released.

The identity of the deceased woman, as well as the identities of those in the missing group, have not been released.
