Serious Crash Kills One, Injures Four in Nixa

Authorities report that a crash Wednesday night in Nixa has caused serious injuries, including the death of a child.

According to reports, a 16-year-old driver ran a red light at the intersection of U.S. 160 and Northview Wednesday night and collided with a minivan.

The 16-year-old driver suffered serious injuries and a 18-year-old passenger was diagnosed with minor injuries. Both were taken to a local hospital.

Inside the minivan was a nine-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl. Details on the driver of the minivan are limited, but authorities say it was an adult driver.

The driver of the minivan suffered serious injuries, while the 12-year-old girl was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

First responders attempted life saving measures, but the nine-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation is underway, and is being conducted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

    There are for pursuit and if this is investigated properly will find police in violation further more the teen should be charged as an adult. However nothing will bring this child back. Cops and teen have to live with their decisions. Prayers for 9yr olds family 🥲
