93.3 KWTO Keeping Watch Over the Ozarks
Sheriff’s Deputies in counties across the Ozarks are now saying that a string of ATM burglaries in the area may be connected.
Last weekend, ATM’s in the following counties were stolen from:
- Andrew County
- Barry County
- Camden County
- Dallas County
- Phelps County
Barry County Sheriff Danny Boyd said Monday there is a belief the thefts are the work of an organized crime group from Texas, which could complicate the investigation.
He said because they are out-of-state, it could make it harder to arrest them.
Authorities within the five counties have been working together in gathering information in the case, and have discussed filing charges together at the appropriate time.
